Griffin Partners acquired the land, invested in the development, and broke ground on the build-to-suit industrial building project for North West Rubber Ltd. in January 2019. The building was completed in October 2019, within the estimated completion period and is located next to the company’s supplier in the Northeast industrial submarket of Highway 90 in Houston. Canadian based NWR identified Houston as a prime location to continue expanding its production and global distribution strategy with a United States office. “There are several factors which drew us to the south-central US: it gives us the ability to better serve our customers in geographic proximity to this location, it allows us to develop new markets that we have not serviced in the past, and it mitigates some of the risks associated with changing regulations in the Ontario market where we operate another one of our facilities.
