Steve Montgomery is just joining iCore/Griffin Partners but he has over 40 years of history in the Houston and national commercial office market industry. Steve began his career developing the office leasing function for a major Houston based real estate company. He was responsible for expanding the leasing function from representing only Gerald D. Hines in the feasibility and leasing of the Hines portfolio of major downtown office buildings into an expansion which quadrupled the geographical markets covered and increased the landlord representation to include Prudential Insurance, Friendswood Development and a number of local suburban developers. Seeing that The Horne Company was to be limited in it’s scope to Houston, Steve founded The Office Network and led it to expand into 17 major office markets with a number of significant client exclusive representations.
Subsequent to The Office Network, now ONCOR International, Steve formed a small but significant local firm in Houston. After ten years, Steve joined Cushman & Wakefield for 10 years and then Transwestern for another 4. Throughout his career, Steve has represented landlords, corporate service clients on a national basis and has built and managed a national corporate real estate firm and practice. He is proudest of his creative ability to continually “think outside of the box” on his client’s behalf and in their interest.
