David Magee, Director of Engineering, joined Griffin Partners in 2007 after spending 35 years in the office tower and retail engineering industry. He began his career with Tenneco Realty and after nine years, joined the Hines organization where he spent the next 21 years.
David provides leadership and direction for the engineering team including site support for the entire Griffin Partners portfolio. He utilizes his 35+ years experience in building operations, maintenance, energy management, development and construction in both the office tower and retail environments to focus on adding value and asset protection.
David is recognized in the industry for building superior relationships with ownership, tenants, contractors and staff and in his ability to train and mentor all levels of engineering personnel. He is an effective team player with the ability to evaluate complex problems towards implementation of effective solutions. One of his strengths is the ability to communicate solutions to these problems in layman’s terms.
As a native Houstonian, David enjoys and supports Houston’s professional sports teams, the outdoors and spending time with family.
