Chris Lewis is a problem solver and tenant requirement specialist. From negotiating large office transactions to procuring industrial or retail space for clients, Chris is most challenged executing complex lease transactions in the highly competitive Houston marketplace as well as other markets throughout Texas.
As Vice President of Leasing for Griffin Partners and a Partner of iCORE Global - Houston’s team, Chris uses his hands-on understanding of the local marketplaces to oversee the leasing needs in the Griffin portfolio while also specializing in representing tenant needs across multiple markets and facilities uses.
Chris started his career with Griffin Partners in 2001 after graduating from Texas A&M University in fall of 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Information and Operations Management and International Business from the Mays Business School. He served several years as part of its acquisition and disposition team for Griffin, working with lenders, investors, and sellers, analyzing and assembling the large-scale commercial real estate transactions. This experience led to a unique insight as to how buildings are globally positioned in the capital marketplace as well as a detailed understanding of tenants’ needs and costs, which paved the way for a natural transition to a career in leasing.
As Vice President of Leasing, Chris has had the opportunity to participate in the gamut of tenant solution projects, representing millions of square feet of transactions over the last decade. With the attitude that no deal is too challenging, and that a creative [yet educated] mind will pave the way to a closed transaction, Chris goes the extra distance to find that solution for tenants who need to locate, renew, relocate, or buy/sell their facility. “As a ‘partner’ with our clients, it is our job to bring you solutions and eliminate your problems, no matter how complicated they become.”
When he’s not overseeing Griffin Partners’ growing leasing portfolio, Chris enjoys artistic pursuits. He’s an active musician who also loves photography and design. You might catch him up on stage at the local music venue in town on his day off. In addition, he’s been a member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Breeders Greeters Committee since 2001 and International Committee since 2010, which help coordinate one of the world’s largest livestock shows.
He and his wife live in Houston and have 2 young sons who someday may join their father and grandfather in the real estate business.
