Chris Lewis - Vice President, Leasing

chris lewisChris Lewis is a problem solver and tenant requirement specialist. From negotiating deals to procuring office space for clients, Chris is most challenged executing complex lease transactions in the highly competitive Houston marketplace, as well as, other markets throughout Texas.

As Vice President of Leasing for Griffin Partners, Chris uses his hands-on understanding of the marketplace to oversee the leasing needs in the Griffin portfolio while also specializing in representing tenant needs.

Chris started his career with Griffin Partners in 2001 after graduating from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Information and Operations Management and International Business. He served several years as part of its acquisition and disposition team for Griffin, working with lenders, investors, and sellers, analyzing and assembling the large-scale commercial real estate transactions. This experience led to a unique understanding and insight as to how buildings relate to tenants needs and costs.

Working with his dad Drew Lewis, Co-Chairman of Griffin Partners, Chris has had the opportunity to participate in the gamut of tenant needs and solutions. Along with Jason Long, their team actively represents tenants who need to find, renew, relocate, buy/sell their facility requirements. The combined team efforts provide their clients a depth of experience to handle any type of requirement.

When he’s not overseeing Griffin Partners’ growing leasing portfolio, Chris enjoys artistic pursuits. He’s an active musician who also loves photography and design. You might catch him up on stage at the local music venue in town on a day off. In addition, he’s been a member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Breeders Greeters Committee since 2001 that helps coordinate one of the world’s largest livestock shows. He and his wife live in Houston and have a young son who someday may join his father and grandfather in the real estate business.
